This Weekend: Lake Union and Portage Bay Sweep

More than 250 volunteers will launch in their kayaks and other small boats to pick up trash from the waters and shorelines of Lake Union and Portage Bay on Saturday.

Last year nearly 3 tons of trash were collected and removed.

Things kick off around 9:00am at Lake Union Park, and the event will close with a volunteer recognition lunch and Environmental Fair.
